Our Chinese Roots
At China Lee Restaurant, our journey begins in the heart of rural China. We come from a humble background, deeply rooted in the traditions of our hometown, where we worked as teachers and rice farmers. The values of hard work, family, and the rich, authentic flavors of our native cuisine have been passed down through generations and continue to inspire every dish we create. We hail from a time when there were no cars, only bikes, and indoor plumbing was nonexistent in our village. Reflecting on how far we've come in such a short period, we remember our simple life and our desire for more—for ourselves, our future, and our family.
Our Venezuelan Chapter
Seeking a better life, we moved to Venezuela and built a new beginning. In this vibrant and beautiful country, we established our very first restaurant, earning a reputation as one of the best in La Guaira—nestled by the beach and celebrated for its warm, welcoming atmosphere. Venezuela is a beautiful country with resilient people. Our time there is filled with cherished memories and a profound appreciation for a nation that helped us flourish, even as challenges began to arise.
Our American Dream in Miami
When Venezuela’s situation became unstable, we embraced the promise of opportunity in the United States. For over 30 years in Brickell, Miami, we have built a thriving restaurant that honors our heritage while serving the diverse needs of the local community. We deeply appreciate the warm, inclusive spirit of Miami and the Spanish community, and we take pride in being a multicultural family and restaurant. Our doors are always open to English, Spanish, and Chinese speakers who come regularly to enjoy an authentic dining experience that blends tradition with innovation. We take pride in our service and our food, and we hope to continue serving our community at our current location, offering our fried rice, dumplings, and other dishes for as long as possible. We would like to thank everybody that we have served and will serve in the future.
